ICAI CA January 2026 Exam Timings & Duration

As per the official timetable and guidance notes:

• Most papers (Final & Intermediate; Foundation Papers 1 and 2): 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM IST (3 hours)
• Some Foundation papers (Paper 3 and Paper 4 – MCQ based): 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM IST (2 hours)
• Final Paper 6 and certain papers: Duration may extend to 4 hours, generally from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM IST

Reporting Time and Entry Rules

Candidates are usually required to report by 1:30 PM for a 2:00 PM exam. Exact reporting time, allowed items, and entry instructions are clearly mentioned on the admit card. Late entry is generally not permitted, so candidates should reach the centre well in advance.

ICAI officially rescheduled CA Intermediate Group II, Paper 5 (Auditing & Ethics). The paper, originally planned for 15 January 2026, will now be held on 19 January 2026 due to municipal elections in parts of Maharashtra.
